Alexander County, Illinois:

The place where my Williamson search reaches a dead end... Alexander County, Illinois. A small town called Olive Branch to be more precise, but the county as a whole is worth paying attention to, since I have found bits and pieces of the family tree scattered here and there across the county.

There is quite a bit of information I could add here, but it would be a duplication of effort since so much is already listed at Genealogy Trails. A visit there could help immensely in a search for information.
